Roma Bible Union Graphic Novel Project

I have finished all the frames and cover illustrations for the novel! Now Bob and the team in Hungary will be putting in the text in different languages. The pages without dialogue are online, view them in the slideshow below, or see some of the initial work on our RBU Graphic Novel blog. Praise the Lord for the time and ability to finish this project, which we have been working on for almost two years!

Illustration Friday | “Shaky”

shaky-illustration-friday

For Illustration Friday, The word was “Shaky.”

I was working on some character concepts, and the IF word for this week inspired this position for her. I don’t have her name yet, but her quail friend’s name is Gurjeet.

Here is another concept for her:

Illustration Friday | “Worn”

worn-laura-dreyer-roma-bible-if

This is my drawing for Illustration Friday. I actually did not do this specifically for IF, like the other IF posts here on my blog, but I thought it really applied to the piece here.

It is from a Graphic Novel that I am illustrating, written by Bob Hitching, which will be used to improve literacy for Roma in Central Europe.

Color it Up

What better time and place to do a little collaborative coloring with a small friend than a weekend wedding? Beach ball man with Ipod, orange wedding cake, million bead braid girl all made their appearances on the program that day.
