For Illustration Friday this week, the word is “Tango.” This piece began as a quick sketch but quickly evolved into paint, ink, & a little colored pencil thrown in just for kicks…

I was working on some character concepts, and the IF word for this week inspired this position for her. I don’t have her name yet, but her quail friend’s name is Gurjeet.

This is my drawing for Illustration Friday. I actually did not do this specifically for IF, like the other IF posts here on my blog, but I thought it really applied to the piece here.

It is from a Graphic Novel that I am illustrating, written by Bob Hitching, which will be used to improve literacy for Roma in Central Europe.
